Freebikes
Each fall in Bryan/College Station, Freebirds World Burrito identifies an elementary school to participate in the Freebikes Program. The program was expanded into Lubbock in 2006. The purpose of the program is to provide bicycles to children based on a picture/essay contest. At the end of 2006, Freebirds had given away over 70 bicycles, helmets, and locks.

United We Roll
Freebirds has “united” with the Brazos Valley United Way organization since 2004 with an event called United We Roll. The event involves local celebrities rolling burritos for a great cause.

Bike To Work Day
Bike to Work and School Day began in 1994 in College Station as a community wide effort and has grown steadily each year.

The Bird shares in the day's festivities by giving away free burritos to hundreds of hungry cyclists that descend upon the Northgate Freebirds location.

Giving back to the community is a cornerstone for Freebirds. Bike to work and School Day is a perfect tie-in to the Freebirds culture. It embraces all that we are known for: it's a fun and innovative way to come together to improve the community through the collaboration of several organizations, businesses and patrons in the area. Its focus is one that emphasizes all that is good about doing what we can to make a difference in our community. Bike to Work Day focuses our energy on healthy living that is also great for the environment.
Monster Fling
Freebirds has supported the Aggie Disc Gold Club for the past seven years. Each year the club holds a tournament called the Monster Fling. Disc golf players in the local area as well as the surrounding cities participate in the tournament. The different categories include Men's Long, Men's Short, and Ladies'.
Northgate Music Festival
Freebirds World Burrito has participated in the Northgate Music Festival for many years. The mission of the Northgate Music Festival is to “promote local musicians and provide a forum for their music as well as bring diversified regional, national, and international musical acts to the Bryan/College Station area in order to benefit local charitable organizations.” With attendance of over 10,000 people, you'll definitely have an experience to remember.
Feeding the NFL
On Friday, December 19, 2003 Freebirds World Burrito fed the NFL Dallas Cowboys. Eighty football players and coaches enjoyed chicken, steak, and veggie monster burritos.
