Balancing Your Lifestyle with Our Food
At Freebirds we believe in promoting healthy lifestyles for our customers and our employees!
We make all of our food fresh daily, from premium ingredients with as little added fat and sodium as possible.
We never use lard or MSG.
One of the greatest things about Freebirds is that YOU get to create a meal exactly as YOU like it.
In turn, this means that YOU can create a healthy meal with any of our ingredients by selecting from
each food group in moderate amounts. Thus, something different for each individual; therefore, we
recommend and encourage you to consult with a physician or nutritionist for help in developing just the
right personal program.
Every ingredient at Freebirds can be eaten by an individual following a restricted diet. The key is
creating a combination that is balanced. Click here for a few suggestions.

Suggestions for Balance
- Try our Half Bird. It is a smaller burrito.
-
Get a Bird Salad without the tortilla and lots of lettuce, pico de gallo, roasted peppers and
onions. Use our fresh salsa as a salad dressing. If you are trying to eat Low Carb, skip the
rice and load up on beans, meat and cheese.
-
If you love guacamole or sour cream, get it! Consider skipping the cheese to help balance the
calories and fat.
-
All of our meats are lean, but are inherently denser in calories than veggies. Consider getting
a veggie burrito on the days you need to cut calories or keep the meat but skip the cheese.
-
Double the amount of beans and skip the rice on any of our menu items. You will load up on fiber
while reducing the number of calories.
-
Request our Tacos be made with only 2 corn tortillas instead of 4. Order them steamed. Corn
tortillas are lower in calories than the flour, wheat, cayenne and spinach tortillas.
-
Go light on the Bad Ass BBQ. This sauce is phenomenal but is made with oil. Use it in moderation.
All of our other sauces are fat free.
- All of the beans are low in fat and high in fiber- even the Refried Beans! We never use lard.
